Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity are back in Buchanan Galleries this Christmas and this year is going to be the best yet! Our pop-up shop with a variety of gifts & GCHC merchandise will return along with our gift-wrapping service (from the 13th of December onwards), collecting whilst our fantastic choirs perform and a new addition for this year, a Santa's Grotto! Come join in the fun and get into the festive spirit! We're looking for volunteers to help; - Man our pop-up shop & take payments - Gift wrap presents - Collect donations whilst choirs perform - Elfing duties at our Santa's Grotto (give out sweets to those that visit Santa) Volunteers will be able to select which of the activities above they would like to do as we know gift wrapping isn't for everyone! Full training and support will be provided throughout your shift(s). Our Buchanan Galleries Christmas activity will run from the 16th of November all the way through to the 24th of December and we have morning (9am to 12:30pm), afternoon (12:30pm to 4pm) & evening (4pm to 7pm) shifts available. We fundraise to ensure that every baby, child and young person treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital receives the extra special care they deserve. We raise funds to help those who tirelessly care for and nurture young lives at their most vulnerable; to invest in equipment, research and the continued improvement of facilities and services for children and families in hospital. This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys interacting with the public and would like to have a direct impact by helping to raise vital funds that support our young patients, their families and our NHS heroes at the hospital.
