We know that 1 in 5 working-age adults and 1 in 3 children in the UK are living in poverty. Many families are struggling to meet even basic needs like putting healthy food on the table, which is why it's so important that they can access help and support in a crisis. For those of us in financial hardship, contacting the Helpline could mean the difference between putting food on the table for their children or having to make impossible decisions.
