Another core partnership of our Trust. Al Shurooq has successfully come through a period of transition and is now under the leadership of Ruba Mukaker. Al Shurooq provides residential care and education for up to thirty visually impaired children drawn from all over the Palestinian territories. MET has recently provided funding for a specialised Resource Centre at the school and, with the help of a major bequest, will be funding major infrastructure improvements in 2016. Help for the disabled in the Palestinian territories is limited and Al-Shurooq plays a major part. We are proud to support the school with a regular quarterly remittance.
