This is the foundation of the work Volunteer Glasgow does: matching people to the volunteering opportunities right for them; running training for volunteer-involving organisations across the city; and working with our partners to make Glasgow an amazing place to live and volunteer. We have two staff teams that work on our core activities: Our Employability and Learning Team provide Volunteer Glasgow’s services as a SQA approved centre. They provide free learning resources for volunteers and their organisations, plus our ‘Volunteer Works’ accredited employability award. We also support young people working towards their Saltire Award. Our Volunteering Team provides training to volunteer-involving organisations, looks after our Youth Volunteering Ambassadors, advertises city-wide volunteering opportunities via our website and runs volunteering drop-ins, matching interested people to the opportunities that are right for them.
