The Story
Charlie and Will shared a flat in Aberdeen together and Charlie wants to honor William’s memory by raising money for the William Reid school in Zambia. After William died in a tragic accident in January 2020, the school has been transformed by Baraka Community Partnerships thanks to the generosity of William’s friends and family and now has 750 pupils and 10 teachers. Charlie hopes to raise a total of £5895 through various fundraising endeavors, £1 for every meter of Mt Kilimanjaro, which he is climbing in late Spring 2023 as medical cover on an expedition and he’ll then travel to Zambia and visit the school. (NB Every penny raised will go to the school, he is funding his trip to Africa himself.)
In support of Charlie's climb, Yolanda, Anne and Hamish are hosting a fundraising dinner on the 25th February. The three course meal paired with wine will be held at Luca's Musselburgh from 7.30pm. We have suggested a donation of £100 .
