Brecon Festival Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker sold more tickets than ever before in December 2024 and Theatr Brycheinog’s audience figures show that our ballet attracted over 60% of its audience from outside our postcode, LD3, into our town! We are delighted that this annual festive event continues to bring footfall, income and artistic excellence to our area.

We are delighted that this annual festive event continues to bring footfall, income and artistic excellence to our area.
In 2025, BFB will be:
- Offering a series of “Learn to Dance with BFB!” adult dance classes from February to April, bringing the community together in these cold, dark months, with the added benefit of building both mental & physical health.
- Commissioning local young artist, Gemma Schiebe, to create a new stage design for The Nutcracker.
- Fundraising for the Christmas 2025 Nutcracker production. Our biggest cost is the salaries of the professional dancers and orchestral musicians. At the heart of the production is the community cast and production team who work and perform alongside the professionals.
