The Story
We are deeply saddened to share the heartbreaking news of Anand Narayanan’s untimely passing. Anand(31), an Ayurvedic doctor from Tripunithura, Kerala, India came to the UK with his wife Haritha(29) a year and a half ago. He was pursuing further studies while working as a carer. Tragically, Anand’s life was cut short following a month-long battle with liver disease at London’s King’s Hospital.
Despite multiple ICU admissions and intensive medical care, his condition deteriorated rapidly due to infections that affected multiple organs. Last week, internal bleeding worsened, and despite all efforts, he passed away after being taken off life support.
This devastating loss comes at an extremely difficult time for the family. Haritha, also an Ayurvedic doctor, is currently hospitalized after collapsing from the shock of Anand’s death.
She remains unconscious, adding to the emotional and financial strain.
Anand’s parents in Kerala are elderly and unwell—his mother recently suffered a heart attack, and his father is also battling health issues. The family is now burdened by a significant debt of substantial amount incurred for their student visa and relocation expenses. With no source of income, Haritha is struggling to cover basic living expenses, including rent.
