Friendship Seating Area & Sensory Rainwater Garden

This project will provide an accessible seating area, with connected and separate planters, to encourage social interaction and community cohesion in a pleasant and engaging space that will have community benefits for mental health, social inclusivity, tackling loneliness and benefitting the environment. Project Aims: - Accessible seating, arranged to promote conversation and social interaction in a quiet area of the park away from noise and distraction - Accessible sensory planting for inclusivity and with biodiversity and water conservation in mind - Actively encouraging social engagement and tackling social isolation and loneliness in our community - Encouraging community engagement and involvement, such as gardening volunteers to maintain the planters - Improving the visual impact of the park and its environment - Rainwater garden principles to help tackle flooding issues prevalent in Tarring.
