Help us raise funds for our second children’s home!

Thank you for your interest in Lighthouse. We took a great deal of time and care to lovingly refurbish and set up our first children’s home in south west London for six 12-17 year olds. Our home is light, bright and spacious. We used state of the art technology to keep children safe and created a building that is sustainable and environmentally friendly. We visited many children’s homes between 2016-2021 across the UK, Germany, Denmark and Finland to help us design our first home. It was important to us that we created a space that felt well cared for, cosy and calming. We designed a layout that encouraged a sense of safety, opportunities for play, creativity and shared activities with others. This is especially important for children who have faced substantial trauma in their lives. Ultimately, we wanted to create a home rather than a ‘children’s home’ and try to do away with institutionalism.
