OMC 2022 - Como to Ljubljana - Girls Dormitory and Facilities

In 2022, our objective is to provide a new Girls' Boarding accommodation and welfare facilities, in response to the overwhelming number of girls returning to the school after the Covid-19 pandemic, during which schools were closed for two years. As a priority request from headteacher Paul, we felt it imperative to assist in support of the female students, who due to various societal issues are at higher risk of not completing their education. Work has already begun to expand the existing facilities but further funds are required to realise this important goal. We will undertake our postponed 2020 fundraising ride, from Lake Como in Italy, across the Dolomites to Ljubljana, Slovenia during two weeks in early July 2022. This will be our hardest and hilliest ride to date! The route comprises roughly 1500km of cycling, and includes approximately 30,000m of climbing. Amongst the many climbs we will take on, the iconic Passo Stelvio and the monstrous Monte Zoncolan will be two of the biggest achievements for our participants.
