Timing and medical assistance is critical in preventing death during emergencies and especially of pregnant women and their unborn children.
In Pakistan, a woman typically has to travel around 6-8 hours to reach a hospital for childbirth. Travelling such distances whilst in full-term labour can be dangerous and result in unnecessary deaths of newborn babies and their mothers.
In the past four years, Quba Trust has provided ambulances in countries like Pakistan alongside Wheelchairs for the less able, due to a lack of support for this bracket of healthcare in the respected countries.
